About CDL Communications
Carol Dietch Long
I'm an accomplished marketing copywriter and strategist with extensive experience in agency and corporate settings. I launched CDL Communications in 2002 and have had the pleasure of working on a broad range of marketing initiatives including writing content for the market leader in enterprise applications, editing and identifying a publisher for a book on entrepreneurialism, and producing a regional conference on in silico drug discovery. I've enjoyed providing marketing support services for B2B clients that specialize in software and services for law firms, sales and use tax automation, and engineering design as well as several local B2C clients.
Previously, I was VP, client services and an account manager at The DEM Group, a full-service marketing agency that served technology-based companies. Prior to DEM, I was responsible for marketing communications at Liberty Technologies, a high-tech manufacturer of predictive maintenance hardware and software used in the power and process industries.
I started my career as public relations manager for the Valley Forge Convention Plaza where I generated substantial print and broadcast publicity for the facility's convention center, hotels, dinner theater, restaurants, and night club. I interned at the Valley Forge Convention and Visitors Bureau.
I have a BA in Speech Communication from West Chester University and an MA in Professional Communication from La Salle University. I have also served as an adjunct professor of public speaking and interpersonal communication classes at La Salle University and Montgomery County Community College.
